The 1901 Census shows the following Baxter family living on The Green. The Head of the Household was named as George (Vaux) aged 53, a Carpenter/Shopkeeper born in Cold Ashby in 1847. Living with him were his wife Hannah aged 52, born in Walgrave (nee Walden) in 1844, their sons George H aged 15, a gardener, and FRANK H aged 11. Both had been born in West Haddon. Also living in the house was George H, a grandson, born in Leicestershire.
Parish Records show the baptism of a Frank Harold Baxter on 10/11/1889 to parents George and Hannah.
The 1911 Census shows the following entry in respect of a Harold Baxter living at 8 Boughton Street, Worcester. Head of the Household is shown as Louisa Perry aged 45, born in Worcester,, married and employed as a tailoresss. Also living in the house were her son Herbert aged 25 a cycle repairer, her daughter Jessie aged 16, a clerk, both born in Worcester; and HAROLD BAXTER a boarder, aged 21, born in West Haddon and employed as a foreman gardener. The age equates to our Harold Baxter.
Harold’s father George died in 1936. His mother Hannah died in 1901
I was not able to find any military records in respect of Frank Harold Baxter.
