The name Frank Healey Hancock appears in the 1911 Census. This entry shows
the Head of the Household as Elizabeth Healey aged 71, born in West Haddon and
Frank Healey Hancock aged 18, also born in West Haddon.
He would have been born in 1892/1893. His name does not appear in the record of baptisms for West Haddon
The only trace of any military service I could find showed the award of the Victory Medal and the British War Medal to Private 680330 Frank Healy (no e) Hancock of the 22484 Northampton Regiment
The Northampton Mercury however reported on 4/8/1916 that Private Frank Hancock of the Northamptonshire Regiment had been wounded in the right leg and had been admitted to hospital in Rouen, France
Hopefully a visit to the Northamptonshire Regimental Museum will shed further light on his military career.
