The 1911 Census shows a Hancock family living in West Haddon… The Head of the Household is named as William Hancock, aged 47 working as a farmer, born in Clay Cotton in 1864. The home was shared with his wife Mary Ann Hancock (nee Healey) aged 48 born West Haddon in 1863 and their three sons Frederick (Joseph) aged 16, born in 1894,working on farm, John (William) aged 12 and Sidney (Charles) aged 10. All three boys had been born in West Haddon.
The Parish Records show a John Henry Hancock born to William and Mary Ann baptised on 16/6/1878. The list of burials shows John Henry being buried on 21/8/1887 aged 9.
Neither Frederick, John or Sidney appear on the list of baptisms for West Haddon
I was unable to find full military records in respect of Fred Hancock the Absentee Voters’ List 1919 for West Haddon names a Frederick Joseph Hancock, service number 466054, rank Corporal, serving with 496th Agric Company.
